SSE 4000. Methods of Teaching Social Studies (3 credits)
Crosslisted: (EDN 4000)
Comprehensive study of the effective instructional approaches and methdologies in social studies education that focus on the development of historical thinking skills. Assessment, twenty-first century learning skills, and the integration of technology will also be emphasized. Field experience in a middle or secondary school is required as part of successful completion of the course. PREREQ: SSE 3650 or permission of the instructor.
