CNS 5880. Diganosis and Treatment in Addiction (3 credits)

The course examines the process and procedures for assessment and diagnosis of substance-related and addictive disorders. An overview of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders for substance-related and addictive disorders and co-occurring disorders will be offered. An overview of biopsychosocial case conceptualization, psychological tests and assessments, and treatment planning related to substance abuse and other addictions will be provided.
