CNS 5500. Research and Program Evaluation (3 credits) This course is designed to provide counselors with the research knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate counseling interventions and programs, inform evidence-based practices, and conduct needs assessments. The course provides an overview of statistical methods and computer-based research and analysis tools. Ethical and culturally relevant strategies for conducting and interpreting qualitative and quantitative research studies are addressed. PREREQ: Admission to the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program or the Professional School Counseling program.
