CRJ 5700. Criminal Justice Research Methods (3 credits) This course covers the logic of social research methods, survey research, methods of evaluation research, sampling, and the contrast between quantitative and qualitative research. Included in this course will be; the importance of ethics and institutional review board compliance issues related to internal and external validity of research designs; sampling designs; and conformity with acknowledged scholarly writing format in criminal justice such as the American Psychological Association style, the Harvard Reference system, and the Chicago Manual of Style.
