CRJ 5810. Victimology and Criminal Justice (3 credits) Victimology is the study of personal and public issues associated with victims of crimes. This course will address the extent, nature and theories of victimization. Effects of crime on victims, services available to neutralize effects, experiences of victims in the criminal justice system, the victims rights movement, and alternative ways of defining and responding to victimization also will be examined.
