ENG 3560. Modernist Fiction (3 credits) A critical study of selected works of fiction from the first half of the twentieth century, covering representative authors of the short story, novella, and novel. The course examines modernist fiction in relation to social and cultural contexts, with particular attention to experimentation, the avant garde, and narrative technique. PREREQ: ENG 3040 or permission of instructor.
