SWK 4800. Social Work Practice III (3 credits) This course is designed to further develop students’ generalist social work skill. Practice content also emphasizes professional relationships that are characterized by mutuality, collaboration, and respect for the clients. This course includes content regarding knowledge, values and skills to enhance the well-being of people and to help ameliorate the environmental conditions that affect people adversely. Practice content also includes approaches to and skills for practice with clients from differing social, cultural, racial, religious, spiritual, and class backgrounds, and with systems of all sizes. PREREQ: SWK 2000; SWK 2450; SWK 3050; SWK 3450; SWK 3480; SWK 3800; SWK 3810; SWK 3850 and formal acceptance to the BSW Program.
