CSC 3800. Database Management Systems and Security (3 credits) The course covers database security and database management systems including data independence, relationships, logical and physical organizations, schema, and subschema. Hierarchical, network, and relational models are covered with an emphasis on the relational model. Small SQL queries are created and examined. Database security includes protecting the database from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. PREREQ: CSC 2850.
