NUR 3500. Family Nursing II (5-3-6 credits) This course uses theoretical and evidence-based frameworks and standards of professional nursing practice to focus on the health of the childrearing family. Emphasis includes cultural diversity, family dynamics, growth and development and the use of the nursing process to provide direction for the promotion, restoration, and maintenance of health of the childrearing family. The clinical component provides the opportunity for students to enhance clinical reasoning and decision-making skills and further develop proficiency in professional nursing roles. Clinical learning experiences occur in a variety of clinical settings. PREREQ: NUR 3010, 3030, 3040, 3050, 3200, 3450
