ENG 4990. Professional Internship (3 credits) Provides students the opportunity to apply the academic skills they have learned in a workplace setting. Working with an approved faculty advisor, students will find an internship in a business, government, non-profit, or university setting. Students will use their research, writing, editing, proofreading, design or technology skills to create or refine one (or several) substantial organizational documents to be compiled into a professional portfolio. PREREQ: “C” or better in ENG 1050 and ENG 1060; one previous rhetoric course at the 3000 or 4000 level; and permission from instructor
