SWK 3800. Social Work Practice I (3 credits) This course is designed to provide students with the necessary foundation or pre-practice skills to proceed as a generalist social worker. It covers historical development of social work ethics and values, provides a basic understanding of social work practice theories and applications, and offers students a set of skills for basic interviewing in social work. Social work majors must complete this course with a minimum of grade C. PREREQ: ENG 1050, 1060 PREREQ/COREQ: SWK 2000, SWK 2450
