ELE 5700. Proficient Literacy in the Content Area (3 credits)

The purpose of this course is to explore language development, including second language acquisition. Candidates learn to differentiate curriculum, instruction, and assessment across listening, speaking, reading, writing, and viewing using a variety of literature. Emphasis is placed on collaboration with families and school specialists to support language growth in varied educational settings.
