PED 5100. Adapted Physical Education (3 credits)

An introductory course in the field of Adapted Physical Education that provides an understanding of the nature, behavioral characteristics, and motor limitations of various disabilities and basic skills necessary to prepare meaningful individualized movement experiences of individuals with special needs. The course syllabus is a general plan for the course; deviations announced to the class by the instructor may be necessary.
