PHY 2880. Methods of Computational Science (3 credits) An overview of the methods common to computational science. Topics to include numerical differentiation and integration, Monte Carlo techniques, and how to use higher level programs, e.g. Maple, Mathematica, or Gaussian. Students will also be introduced to computing on a supercomputer with projects to be completed via the North Carolina Super Computer Center (NCSC). PREREQ: PHY 2210 .
