B.I.S. In Applied Management Information Systems


The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Applied Management Information Systems builds upon computer programming skills as core requirements, and augments such proficiencies with management of information technology and communication skills. Courses such as operations management, statistics, and project management enhance these skills. Graduates will be ready for a variety of practical careers requiring application of computers and computing/statistical skills to managerial decision-making. The program of study for the BIS in Applied Management Information Systems  consists of four components: General Education Requirements (44 hours); Core Requirements (27 hours), Track Requirements (18 hours), and Electives* (36 hours).

Please note that many majors have specific general education requirements.  Please see a faculty advisor in your department if you need further clarification. You will be required to take the following courses to meet your general education and applied management information systems requirements including:

Electives*: 36 Sem. Hrs.


*Students entering the BIS Program with an Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Applied Arts degree from a regionally-accredited two-year institution may receive up to 30 hours of transfer credit towards Electives upon verification of such degree.
