Major-Specific General Education Requirements
Major Requirements: 40 Sem. Hrs.
The major in psychology consists of 40 semester hours (of which at least 15 hours must be taken at the 3000‑ level or higher) Note: No 3000‑4000 level courses should be taken until PSY 2080 and PSY 2100 have been completed. I. Core requirements: 16 Sem. Hrs.
II. Psychology area requirements: 18 Sem. Hrs.
Select two courses from each area. Experimental and Cognitive Area:
Social and Personality Area:
Developmental, Clinical, and Counseling Area:
III. Directed electives in psychology: 6 Sem. Hrs.
Select psychology electives for least six semester hours. Total: 120 Sem. Hrs.
All of the courses that are included in the computation of the student’s overall QPA and that have a PSY prefix will be included in the computation of the QPA for the psychology major. |
