The international studies option within the political science major promotes critical analysis of international, transnational, and global challenges. The goal of the international studies option is to prepare students to succeed in an increasingly diverse and globalized world, in which knowledge of international cultures, political institutions, and world trends is an asset. A foundation in international studies is useful for a wide range of career paths in the private, non-profit, and public sectors. Students graduating with a political science major with an emphasis in international studies are prepared to thrive in our globalized world.
