MUS 6010. Thesis Project II (2 credits) The second of two courses leading to a research paper of at least 40-60 pages, produced during two successive semesters, on a topic approved and guided under the direction of a faculty advisor and two other graduate faculty members who schedule the student’s meetings and submission of work. Involves extensive, focused research and writing, or significant work on an alternative project approved by the student’s Advisory Committee. MUS 6010 consists of the student’s drafting, revising, and submitting progressive drafts of the thesis to earn a grade of Satisfactory (Pass). Graded on a Satisfactory (Pass)/Unsatisfactory (Fail) basis. Must be taken in every semester after which thesis work is begun until such time as the final document has been successfully defended. Pass/Fail. PREREQ: Completion of MUS 6000 , Permission of Instructor.
