NUR 3300. Gerontological Nursing (3 credits) 3-0 This course examines the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual aspects of aging, within the context of family and society. Emphasis is on trends, theories, evidence-based findings, and multidimensional changes of aging and the use of the nursing process as a framework for addressing issues related to health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention in older adults. PREREQ: NUR 3000 or permission of instructor. This course is NOT REQUIRED FOR THE DEGREE for pre-licensure BSN students.
