ACC 3210. Financial Reporting and Analysis I (3) This course addresses financial reporting for businesses in detail with the goal of understanding both the preparation of financial statements and their use. Each of the major financial statements is addressed in depth and the importance and use of the notes to the financial statements is explained and demonstrated. Students analyze financial statements from the perspectives of stakeholders and auditors and to identify areas potentially requiring investigation for possible improprieties or operational improvements. The course contributes to the foundation required for courses covering consolidations of financial statements, auditing, and forensic accounting and fraud examinations. PREREQ: A “C” or better in ACC 2270
