ECN 3090. Economics of Sports (3 credits) This course centers around the application of microeconomic theory to the sports industry, both at the professional and amateur sports markets. The topics include market structure, labor relations, labor market discrimination, competitive balance, market value of sports talent, and payments to players. The involvement of the government in the sports business will also be discussed. PREREQ: ECN 1000 or ECN 2020
