SPN 1310. Elementary Spanish I (3 credits)
Spanish 1310 introduces essential elements of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. Emphasis is placed on four skills- listening, speaking, reading, and writing-within a given context, extending outside the classroom setting when possible. Students participate in short conversational situations by combining and recombining learned elements of the language orally and in writing. The content focuses on students’ lives and experiences and includes an exposure to everyday customs and lifestyles.
