ECN 5100. Economics of Information (1 credit) This course provides an introduction to informational problems in economic analysis. It introduces basic economic models under asymmetric information and studies the effects of digitization and technology on industry, organizational structure, and business strategy. The course covers topics including the pricing of information goods, open source and innovation, search and competition, targeted advertising, information analytics, social networks, and a variety of other topics. Economic principles are illustrated using case studies and team projects.
