ART 5050. Applied Art Education Pedagogy and Production: Elementary (3 credits) This course focuses on the methodology involved in teaching art on an elementary level and the role of the senses, emotions, and intellect in artistic development and imagination. This course aims to enrich insights into the role of materials in supporting, integrating, and challenging the artistic growth of students in elementary school setting with a variety of backgrounds and needs. Lesson plans for the development of age appropriate skills will be devised and implemented as well as offering critical starting points for research. PREREQ: Graduate Standing
