ECN 3400. Law and Economics (3 credits) This course is an introduction to the economics of the legal system, focusing on how law assists society in overcoming the information and incentive problems that plague social order. Students will analyze the effects and efficiency of different types of laws using the standard tools of economics. Topics include legal institutions, property rights, firms and contracts, product liability, tort law, and antitrust law. PREREQ: C or better in ECN 2020
