ITC 3300. Secure System Integration & Administration (3 credits) This course introduces advanced system administration technologies and discusses the effective use of security methods in system administration as well as example applications. It covers security tips, security philosophy, security issues, security assessment methods, cryptographic tools and authentication tools on the components of the computer systems, such as system booting, filesystems, user account management, process control, and so on. The course also investigates the integration of various operating platforms and open-source technologies. Laboratory work topics include LVM, ACL, bootloader password encryption, routing, NFS, and network configuration and security. PREREQ: ITC 2080
