CYB 4800. Securing Self-driving Networks (3 credits) Self-driving networks are designed to self-configure, monitor, manage, correct, defend, and analyze, all with very little or no human intervention. This course teaches the students hands-on skills to investigate the security of self-driving networks. The course consists of 3 parts: i) Fundamental topics of self-driving networks, ii) Modules for investigation of security using a testbed, iii) Research projects. This is a hands-on course taught using a testbed and VMs designed for this course. This course includes well-defined group research projects to expose students to hot research areas of machine learning, big data and data analytics in addition to secure self-driving networks.
