OCCT 5400. Clinical Neuroscience (3 credits) This course will focus on the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous system, cognitive processes, and sensory perception which support human performance. Students will build on their knowledge of gross anatomy and explore the impact of neurological dysfunction, and the subsequent effects of neuroplasticity for clients with neurological conditions. Students will apply their understanding of foundational neuroanatomy to selection, administration, and interpretation of neurological assessments. Critique of current evidence-based literature will provide a foundation to guide services for clients with neurological deficits. PREREQ: OCCT 5000, 5100
